We have a short term rental property at Culburra Beach which is currently being rented by a guest. Yesterday we had received a call from the property manager stating that the split-system air conditioner had broken down. Josh, from Chilko Air immediately made time in his busy schedule to come and assess the problem. It worked out that the system’s compressor was damaged due to recent storms.

Within 24 hours, Josh had installed a brand new Panasonic split-system air conditioner, having made this installation a priority due to the extreme heat forecast for tomorrow. Josh had gone out of his way to accommodate us and ensure that our guest would be comfortable and not suffer from the heat. We were very impressed with his service, Josh knew his product extensively and was able to clearly explain the use of the remote as well as the wifi app on the iPhone. We also liked the fact that there was a $700 energy rebate by the government and that Josh will contact us when the next service is due.

Having only dealt with larger air conditioning companies before, we have noticed a big difference in customer service provided by Josh at Chilko Air. Not only is he local but he also provides a service with care and professionalism. We have no hesitation in recommending Chilko Air and we plan to continue supporting this small business.

Josh is very personable and from start to finish he (and his electrician) showed their professionalism, reliability and consideration. Josh went to great lengths to explain options and make recommendations for our particular requirements. The speed of the service was excellent, and the pricing (with Josh explaining govt rebates available) seemed reasonable. Even the clean up was exceptional. We have just moved to the area and Josh was one of our first contacts and we were impressed with his nature and consideration. We would not hesitate to use Josh again should the need arise and would highly recommend Chilko Air to anyone looking for good, well priced service. We view it as a good introduction to the area.

Being a pensioner I mentioned to him that if he could give me the lowest quote, I would really appreciate it. Josh was patient and answered all my questions. Sadly other quotes were rushed and I was even up-quoted (for the k/watt size and price) and Josh's quote was $500-700 LESS than the 3 other quotes.
Josh also has a 7yr warranty whereas others were only 5.
